Great Times in Japan

Hi everybody! sorry for not making a blog or any interesting blogs recently. I am in 群馬県、前橋市(Gunma ken, Maebashishi) right now. Since I am a guest in the house, I do not want to be on the computer too often. For this past week, we　been to lots of interesting places and I met some great people. But through all this, I am of course, having a hard time communicating. l will have alot to learn before I can actually communicate everything that I want to say or express. Places I been to were 鶴ヶ城castle, the grave of 白虎隊、日光の東照宮、and 温泉！ものすごくたのしかった！I had so much fun with the 松本 (matsumoto) family and I will definitley come back to Gunman ken soon to visit them. Today is my last day with them and I am kind of sad. Everybody had been so kind to me and treated me so well but now it's time for me to be on my own. From now on, I cannot rely on Keiko translating for me. But, I am extremely excited to meet all the friends I will be able to meet for Kwansei Gakuin. Tomorrow, I will be taking a train from Gunma ken to Tokyo, transfer to another train in Tokyo, arrive at the night bus station where I reserved, arrive at Osaka, and take a taxi to Nishinomiya Kitaguchi! This seems all very complicated and I am a little nervous about it. Hopefully I will be able to make to my host family in one piece. みんな、元気？今日佳子の友達、綾子さんごちそうした。BBQして，スポツ/ゲームセンターに行った。すごく楽しかった！Bowlingして、いっぱいゲームもした。晩御飯はアメリカのDenny'sで食べた。でも、アメリカに比べて、全然違うよ。ラーメンとオムレライスとうどんがあちゃった。びっくりしちゃった！綾子さんのご主人はお金持ちだから、いつも買って、ごちそしてくれた。はずかしいなあ！僕はVIP見たかった。綾子さんのお子さん達は凄くかわいかった！天使みたかったよ。ほんとに、会ってできてよかった。みんな達すぐまた遊びたい＾＾。

ついに、日本にいます

みんなさん、こんにちわ！今日本にいますよ。僕の友達の家族は飛行場に迎えに来てくれた。優しいなあ、本当に。　午後４時ぐらい着陸して、荷物を持って行った。でも、帰ってきてドライブはちょっと長かった！５時間ぐらいかかった。日本のHighwayは無料じゃないから、ちょっと高すぎる。だから、普通の道は使って家に帰ってきた。友達の家は前橋にあるから、成田から凄く遠かった。昨日僕のおなかがずっと痛かった。飛行機の食べ物をたべすぎるんだろう。でも、今大丈夫だ。今日買い物したり、携帯電話も買いたりするつもり。僕の友達はダークナイツが見たいんだから、今晩一目のbatman一緒に見るつもり。僕はあのDVDがあるから。ところで、日本の車はアメリカの比べてぜんぜん違うよね。新しいし、もっと小さいし、かっこいいなあ！日本のtechnologyは本当に凄い！

Last Goodbye to California!

みんな、こんにちわ。今日はよい一日だった！ I know I am not in japan yet, but I decided to make one more blog before I leave for Japan. For this blog, this will be dedicated to my good friends in California, especially Natsumi & Jordan. They have been good friends of mine for a long time and we had some great times. Today, on Labor Day, they invited me to the beach in Huntington Beach, CA. It was sort of spontaneous but I had no problem with it since I would love to see them one last time before I leave. The day started kinda weird since it was cloudy and sprinkled... I think this is the first time this whole summer in California. We were a little disappointed since we were expecting a great sunny day, but the sun started to come out around noon. Man.. the sun was unforgiving! I did not notice until the end of the day, but I was incredibly sunburned all over my body! Thanks for the leaving gift, CALIFORNIA! 痛いなあ！The day was fun. We boogy boarded, body boarded, we even dug a big whole where we almost made a tunnel from one hole to the other. For some reason, all the little kids around us were very curious, hahaha! Towards the end of the day, we walked all the way for about 2 hours just to go to a restaurant. It was "Ruby's!" I'm not sure if you recognize this restaurant, but it's a 50's diner look alike. The greatest thing about this diner is that it sits at the end of the long Huntington Beach pier! Hmm.. Good ol' American Burger and delicious Malts/Shakes. Too much calories for my blood, but it's good for me once in a while ^^. Today was fun and I really appreciated for my friends to invite me to the beach. Hopefully I'll see them in Japan soon, since Natsumi's hometown is close to 大阪. But if not, hope the best to you guys and I promise I'll see you guys next year. Hopefully, with keiko too! ......体が痛い！＞＿＜　全部赤いだなあ。。。　　でも、大丈夫だ。また、みんなありがとう。じゃあ、また。

Before journey begins...

Hey everybody! I never knew starting a blog can be so easy! Hi, my name is Victor, and I am a student from Cal State University Los Angeles in good 'ol downtown Los Angeles, CA. This idea is actually inspired by Brittany, who is a fellow student who is going to a school in Osaka, Japan. We are both one of the lucky ones to be selected by USAC (University Studies Abroad Consortium) to be able to go to Kwansei Gakuin University. As of me, I will be leaving to Japan on September 3rd and arrive at Narita Airport. My friend 佳子 (keiko) will pick me up and take me to her house in 群馬県、前橋市 (Gunma ken, Maebashi city)。I've been there last year and really enjoyed it. I will have 10 days until heading for 西宮、兵庫県 (nishinomiya, Hyogo). And there, I'll be meeting up with my host family! This is all very exciting for me and it is unreal that I will be leaving next Wednesday. I still feel like everything is still the same. I still work out everynight at LA fitness like I do everyday. Hahah, right now it does not feel like I'm leaving for a year. Hopefully in the future, I can start adding japanese to my blogs so I can practice writing Japanese, but for right now, this will be it!
